Citizens Power
An Agenda for Social Change!

The 29th Annual Convention of the Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana will prepare citizens for the coming legislative session to push for pro- active policy focused on energy, farm and healthcare issues.

Now more than ever citizens need to engage policy makers to chart a course for our future. Too often the money and influence of corporations on our elected officials has driven public policy, a situation all too familiar to the many groups and individuals that CAC has worked with over the years.

From the collapse of Enron to the economic hardships faced by many retired and low-income Hoosiers, CAC believes that citizen empowerment is the only democratic avenue for change. Learn more about the battles that lie ahead and find out how you can help shape public policy to protect consumers, family farmers, and the environment.

We hope you will join us to hear from experts in many policy areas and to learn how you can be more involved to build public policy for a more equitable and sustainable future.

Our lunch speaker will be The Honorable Julia Carson, a dedicated Congress woman who continues to fight for democracy and progressive public policy.
