IURC Must Prioritize Public Interest in AES Indiana Data Center Proposal

CAC filed testimony in Cause No. 46394 emphasizing the importance of transparency, as well as ensuring the data center pays its full and fair share of costs now and into the future. Modifications to the proposal are needed to better protect Hoosier ratepayers and ensure consistency with Indiana statute and the public interest.

CenterPoint Urged Federal Government Not to Reissue Emergency Order on Costly Coal Plant, Letter Shows

The U.S. Department of Energy ignored CenterPoint’s pleas not to force its coal plant to continue operating despite the utility warning that long outages and expensive upgrades would be needed that were “neither practical nor financially responsible.”

CAC Urges Rejection of AES Indiana's Sweetheart Deal With City of Indianapolis, Large Electric Users

CAC calls on the IURC to reject an unbalanced proposed settlement agreement filed yesterday in AES Indiana’s rate case. The settlement would result in a 6.51% base rate increase for residential customers, while commercial and industrial customers only pay a 3.19% and 4.12% increase, respectively.
