Description: This bill requires the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) to conduct a study of Indiana environmental policy. It also requires SPEA to assess the potential for development of low-carbon and green industries in Indiana and the job creation, economic growth, and wealth generation that could result for Indiana communities from the development of these industries. Requires SPEA to report the results of its assessment to the legislative council not later than December 1, 2018.
SB168: Ban on sale or use of coal tar pavement products

Description: SB168 seeks to ban the sale of pavement products using coal tar which contains known carcinogens. While the bill did not receive a vote, it is the first year it has received a hearing, which is encouraging.
SB318: Renewable Energy Standards
